Jones Magazine Celebrates Fierce Fall Fashion with Double Covers

I am delighted to introduce the first Fall fashion issue from JONES MAGAZINE – featuring over 150 pages of the season’s hottest trends and a double cover featuring Supermodel Sessilee Lopez. After five years as a Houston-based regional, Jones is now a national publication that serves as the premiere shopping and lifestyle resource for multicultural women.

Jones Magazine and The NorthStar Group, a New York-based media company, announces the release of its first Fall Fashion issue featuring over 150 pages of the season’s hottest emerging fashion trends. Supermodel Sessilee Lopez stars on the first of the double cover issues (“The Sweet Taste of Success” [pg.127]). On its second cover, Jones presents rising model, Anais Mali (“Revisiting the Original Modern Luxury” [pg.116]).

"The sights and sounds from the Fall runways were fresh in our minds and here, in our first Fall Fashion Issue, is where we transferred our impressions; taking cues from Dennis Basso, Karl Lagerfeld, and John Galliano, we're pushing our readers to take what's classic and rev it up. Anyone can imagine our excitement and pride in seeing this gorgeous double cover on stands. This is the issue every editor relishes," states Editor-in-Chief, Tracey Ferguson.

Having graced the cover of Vogue Italia's Black Issue in 2008, Supermodel Sessilee Lopez relives her "pinch me moment" with JONES and poses for a six-page fashion spread photographed by Gomillion & Leupold, featuring looks from, Halston and Helen Yarmak, and stylist, Donald Lawrence--who cloaked Lopez in the most sumptuous furs of the season. JONES also presents stunning new face fashion model, Anais Mali, who showcases Fall's best head-to-toe designer furs, hats and coats.

The season's five coveted trends to embrace are outlined in "What's Fresh For Fall" [pg.49]. Luxurious Camel, Urban Warrior, Faux Fur, Jewel-Toned Velvet and Sheer Genius are the noted styles making their way into your closet straight from the runway. The JONES Accessory report ("Accessories Report" [pg.65]) gives a snap shot of baubles and bags to punctuate fall's fashion-forward wardrobe. JONES spotlights British designer, Charlotte Olympia, lauded for her signature golden spider web-branded shoes and innovative point-of-view.

Notable designers Dennis Basso, Dean & Dan Canten of DSquared2, Alice+Olivia, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Mychael Knight are a few of the bright and talented forces shaping Fall's classic appeal ("A-Line Fall's Classics" [pg.55]). "Fashion Insider and shopping expert Daisy Lewellyn" [pg.75] weighs in to offer readers access to Autumn's luxurious investment pieces, all while maintaining a well-balanced checkbook. She ropes in some of the biggest names in upscale retail to advise on what to buy now to love forever, from Holly Rogers of Netaporter.com, to June Haynes of Valentino.

HGTV Design Star Kim Myles, Wine expert Monsterville Horton and JONES "I can do it all" woman, fashion icon and Supermodel, Iman, bring their expertise to the "JONES Living" section for insight on interior design, go-to boutiques around the globes and which wines compliment the season.

JONES will be hosting the first ever JONES Awards at New York Fashion Week, honoring designers, models and executives who celebrate and promote diversity and equal opportunity within the fashion industry. JONES will be reporting from New York Fashion Week, Miami Fashion Week and Fashion Houston for the upcoming Spring 2011 season.
