Might be there for 5 or 6 AM. Have a full day of work that starts at 9 AM and includes going out of town in the afternoon. Can't be sure I'll be up and alert enough to go later in the evening to pick-up. Plus it looks like fun
Same here, leaving on a flight at 2:30, but I don't have to work (I'm a grad student). I was hoping I could show up at 7 am and wait however long it takes and get the phone and still make my flight. I am guessing I don't have to stay up overnight to do that, and hopefully I can still meet cool Mac people.

Screw Combustion, I want Discreet to get the bugs out of Cleaner 6. Since they picked up Cleaner from Terran Interactive years ago they haven't done squat. They rarely even put out the "new version coming soon" lie on their BB anymore because every time they do they get slammed.

No, i can still get the printer from canons website no problem. So it is apple who has discontinued...they just stopped carrying it.
I can get it just fine through canon, amazon, newegg, and some other sites but then i would not get the rebate!!

I don't get it. I see a box with two sets of letters, FS on top and FF on the bottom. Why do I see that instead of the symbol?

On some posts and signatures I see the apple symbol, but for example, BC2009's post is 4 of those boxes and a smiley. Weird :confused:
The Apple symbols that you're able to see are just GIF images (one of the smilies provided by this message board is an Apple logo.) You can see this one (:apple:), because it's just an image. But you can only see this one () if you have the necessary fonts installed, which all iOS devices and Macs should.

I'd consider upgrading. The 8600m is something of a timebomb and is likely to fail at some point.

When I switched, I listed all the apps I used on windows, then went about looking for the Mac equivalent. IE > Safari, Outlook Express > Mail, Nero > Toast , etc.. it took a while but it was fun in the process. I also found that trying to use windows again now sux 'cause it doesn't have all the programs I'm so used to!

i dont find importing that slow in LR. Do you use the actual LR import function? I normally just use the finder to access my memory cards and copy them over to the folder i want them in on my HDD and then I just tell LR to sync my working/imported folder in the Pictures folder and its no more than a couple seconds.

I need an iBook for my school work (my PC is too big to carry around :P ) so I am getting rid of my PC and DS (I don't play it anymore). I am selling the PC for $520 and the DS for $120. You can probally talk me down in the prices (not too much :P ). Here are the items.
