Japan Facts
The 'Land of the Rising Sun' is officially called Nippon-koku or Nihon-koku. It is located in the Pacific Ocean and is surrounded on the east by China, North Korea, South Korea, Russia and the Sea of Japan, by Taiwan in the south, and Sea of Okhotsk and East China Sea in the north. The moniker 'the Land of the Rising Sun' is derived from the characters, which make up the name Japan. These characters means 'sun origin'. More and more people are attracted to this country for its unique culture, food and lets not forget the technological advancement this country has achieved.
