Software developers do the task of understanding and interpreting the technical documents in the software company in which they work. They also modify the current software and ensure that it is working efficiently. Senior software developers have to take up the responsibility of monitoring, supervising and checking the work of the junior software developers and technicians. Software developers have to take care of the needs and requirements of the users while preparing the designs. Understanding the needs of the clients while preparing the new softwares and conducting training sessions for users to learn the softwares are also a part of the duties of a software developer. In order to become a software developer, you need to get a degree in Information Technology or computer science from a reputed institute. Securing admission in such an institute would need you to score well in subjects like Computers, Mathematics, Physics and English in high school. A master's degree in computer science can be the ideal way of entering this field. Initially you might have to work as a trainee before you become a full time employee of a multinational  corporation. A knowledge of latest softwares and programming languages and relevant certifications can be an added advantage while securing jobs in good software firms.
