Hello all,
I had a hunch that this would only be a matter of time, and sure enough, it's happened. My November 2009 MacBook has officially begun to crack in a few areas on the case. The main cracking is on the rear of the computer where the hinge connects to the screen. There is also one crack beginning to form on the left side of my palm rest area. I wonder if apple will provide free replacements for this model as well. This makes me believe apple should just get rid of the plastics altogether.

It IS a reasonable price to protect your 1GB Shuffle. People are protective of their Apple kit, because it is designed so well. They want to preserve the look, even if it costs a little extra. $30 is still way cheaper than replacing your Shuffle because of scuffs and scratches on the case.
And besides, it's blue, to boot... ;)

yet, why preserve the pristine look of the shuttle when you will not be able appreciate it with this case on?
and then of course, alu scratches badly, so one would need to buy a case to protect the case. yikes! :)

Can anyone give me a list of all the song names on the ipods in the apple music store? Also can anybody give my the name of the song that is on an ipod at the store. Its name has the word voodoo in it and it is electronic. I want to know the band and the song name!!

Then the song is called Voodoo People by Prodigy, pretty old but still a classic Techno/progressive track. Thats the genre Techno/progressive. Electronica is like something like 808 State (the band) did in the mid-80s. Although Electronica goes back to say late 60's (speakn spell kind of sounds).
However Prodigy has got some seriously amazing tracks, definitely not one of those 1 hit wonders like Rico Suave, lol.

Regarding MAMP:
If I install in on a Mac which is on a LAN, can other computers on the same network access it or the sites it's hosting?
Can anyone confirm that people can't access it via the web as well? (Just want to be sure that I don't get it messed up or visible before I want it to go live.)

MAMP should be accessible to other computers on your LAN - just search on MAMP+LAN for details.
MAMP is really designed as a local development tool, then you copy your site developed on MAMP to a live web server (hosted site). At least that's how I use it. MAMP Pro has some additional features which might allow you to view sites in MAMP on a live server but I'm not sure about that as I never used or needed the Pro version.

I have been trying for three days to get a simple Servlet to work. Tomcat is working and displaying the work. I have created the blasted web.xml, .java, and .class files. All I get is HTTP 404 /Hi/ or /Hello/ could not be found. I hate Tomcat, I hate Java Servlets. If anyone can help please, please, please, I beg you, please help. Here is the java file:

I know I'm bumping a slightly old post, but I'm in the exact same position as you! I really wanted to get Black to for gaming nostalgia, but I read online that they are planning on a 3D pokemon title, and that game won't work on the DSi. So, I think I've decided to just go and get a 3DS--
Nope. There have been no "official" rumours of a 3DS Pokemon game in the style of Black/White (and the other main series games). Of course the next one will be out on the 3DS. But there have been no rumours surfacing yet and it'll be at least 1 year until we see a new game, with the average being 3-4 years for a new title.
Of course there's always a kid on Youtube who says his uncle Jed works for Game Freak and knows all about the next game ;)

I simply use the process killer in SBSettings to kill the offending app, which takes away it's banner ad also. Is this whole wallpaper ads thing part of the iAds discussion? 'keep apps free' and all that?

I got mine yesterday (1G) and have been impressed thus far. Although I had trouble with an audiobook. When I did autofill from a playlist with just one audiobook it did not put it on. However, it did put it on if I just dragged it onto the shuffle. It will always start from the begining of the book. Is there anyway to automatically divide these files into chapters? And I'm still hoping for a way to burn an MP3 CD from an audiobook. Damn audible and making me carry 10 CD's when I have an MP3 CD player in my car. With 1G it can fit a ton of songs and obviously getting to anyone song is near impossible unless you remember your playlist. Although I found if you add them all onto the shuffle in order by artist and then switch to shuffle mode that within a few clicks you can usually get to the artist you are looking for and then switch back to playlist mode and go up and down within that artist until you find what you are looking for. Works if you need it to.
